21st Annual SWOA Basketball Official's Clinic
Middleton High School, Middleton, WI
June 22, 2018
June 23, 2018
The Southern Wisconsin Officials Association is proud to offer our 21st Annual Basketball Officials 3-Person Clinic. This year's clinic is being held the weekend of Friday, June 22nd and Saturday, June 23rd in conjunction with the Middleton High School Boys' Varsity Basketball Tournament. This tournament provides our clinic participants very high levels of D1 & D2 Varsity competition from all over the state. Whether you are a newer official or a veteran, this WIAA-approved clinic can help you ELEVATE YOUR GAME in the understanding and proper use of NFHS 3-Person Mechanics and Signals.
Level L1-L3 officials completing their training will advance one level upon re-licensing and L4 thru Master officials will receive credit for one varsity contest. Attendance on both Friday and Saturday is required for credit and will be applied to the 2019-20 season.
The clinic includes breakout classroom sessions covering various topics. We also discuss expectations of the WIAA and what they would like to see in return. With almost the exclusive use of 3-Person mechanics at the Varsity level, we offer a differeniated curriculum and feedback system so that newer officials and veterans can both accelerate their improvement. All participants must attend Friday night's classroom session that will cover NFHS 3-Person Mechanics and Signals as well as advanced Mechanics Illustrated slides developed by Referee Magazine.
